To Him or To person

Rule of Usage - to + person → जब कोई चीज़ दी जाती है / भेजी जाती है / बताई जाती है। - यह receiver (जिसे कुछ मिलता है) को दर्शाता है।

Where NOT to Use “to” - I get the work done by Ramesh. (यहाँ “by Ramesh” सही है, “to Ramesh” नहीं) - I get the work done for Ramesh. (यहाँ “for Ramesh” सही है, “to Ramesh” नहीं)

Examples

1. I gave the book to Ramesh.
मैंने किताब रमेश को दी।
→ यहाँ “to Ramesh” सही है क्योंकि किताब receiver है।
2. I explained the problem to him.
मैंने समस्या उसे समझाई।
→ “to him” का प्रयोग हुआ क्योंकि explanation का receiver है। 3. She sent a message to others.
उसने दूसरों को संदेश भेजा।
→ “to others” का प्रयोग हुआ क्योंकि message का receiver है।
to → जब कुछ दिया/भेजा/समझाया जाता है (receiver).
• by → जब कोई काम करता है (doer).
• for → जब काम किसी के हित/फायदे के लिए होता है
मैंने उसे प्रोजेक्ट दिलवाया
But:-
I got him the project.
• या फिर: I helped him get the project.
यहाँ “to him” का प्रयोग नहीं होगा, क्योंकि आप देने वाले नहीं हैं, बल्कि दिलवाने वाले / arrange करने वाले हैं।
• “to” का प्रयोग तब होता है जब कोई चीज़ सीधे दी जाती है (जैसे I gave the book to him).
• लेकिन जब आप किसी को कुछ दिलवाते हैं, तो सही संरचना होती है:
• get + person + object → I got him the project.
• या help + person + get + object → I helped him get the project.
